Engelson started his career in the film industry as a production assistant and gradually moved up to become a film producer. Additionally, Engelson has been involved in productions such as License to Wed and All About Steve, and he was the executive producer for six episodes of the Heathers television reboot. So, how did Trevor and Meghan Markle meet? According to The Sun, they crossed paths for the first time in 2004. The couple dated for about seven years before marrying in September 2011. Their wedding took place at the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios in Jamaica and lasted for three days.
According to The Sun, the couple arranged for around 100 guests to attend parties, drinking games at the beach, brunches, and even a wheelbarrow race. The ceremony? Well, that only took 15 minutes.
As mentioned, Meghan was one of the briefcase models on the game show Deal or No Deal. However, according to the author Andrew Morton’s book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, Trevor wasn’t too keen on seeing her while she was on set.

According to Morton (via Express), Engelson didn’t visit her as other husbands or friends of the models did, which was “unusual.” Apparently, this was because he was occupied with his work as a producer and even skipped out on traveling with Meghan during her downtime because of it.
They were ambitious people, and Trevor was just as occupied, if not more so, than his girlfriend, noted royal biographer Andrew Morton in his book, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess.
Interestingly, unlike the partners of her fellow Deal or No Deal models, Trevor never came to visit Meghan on set.
This absence was so striking that it drew comments from the other women. In contrast, many celebrities, particularly athletes, frequently visited, with some clearly eager to connect with the models, he remarked.
In 2011, the same year Meghan and Trevor tied the knot, Meghan Markle made her debut on the TV series Suits. The show quickly became a hit, leading her to relocate to Toronto, where most of the filming took place.

The fallout between Meghan and Trevor appears to have been quite intense. This sentiment is echoed by Meghan’s childhood friend Nikki Priddy and author Lady Colin Campbell.
In her book, Meghan and Harry: The Real Story, Campbell notes that after relocating to Toronto, Meghan started socializing with celebrities, including stylist Jesica Mulroney.
This shift caused the former Suits actress to grow apart from her then-husband.
“Trevor was always easygoing, while she was more controlling,” Lady Colin Campbell observed.

Engelson’s friend remarked, “Everyone around Trevor knows to avoid the ‘M’ word. He’s moved on, and in many ways, he seems to be living a better life than Meghan. He likely has more money than she does now; he’s pursuing his passions and staying out of the limelight. It’s the perfect form of revenge.”
