Keanu Reeves is regarded as one of the most beloved stars of his generation. It is unlikely that anyone who has encountered him would express any negative sentiments. Consequently, there was considerable concern when the esteemed actor revealed an unfortunate incident that had occurred in his life.
The 59-year-old actor discussed his experience of sustaining a broken kneecap during filming. Celebrated for his dynamic career featuring successful films such as The Matrix and the John Wick series, Reeves revealed how an incident that seemed relatively innocuous led to his injury.
Colbert inquired of Reeves, “What took place? How did they get to you?
Did you leap from one structure to another? Were you tumbling over sharp items such as razor blades? How did you occupy your time? Stephen sought further clarification.
“No, Stephen, I was entering a room that served as the dressing room. I’ll tell you right away,” Keanu said.
Keanu disclosed that the incident took place while filming a scene alongside Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen for the forthcoming comedy, Good Fortune. He was enjoying himself in the icy plunge that the trio was experiencing. After completing the scene, he started to execute the “cold shuffle” in a room with carpet protection. Unfortunately, during this activity, his foot became ensnared in a pocket.
Keanu got up to stroll in front of Stephen’s desk and illustrate what had happened by demonstrating the weakness in his knee. “I also spiked.” Like, spiked,” he murmured, imitating his own experience. “Just rammed it into the earth.”
“My kneecap, or patella, broke like a chipped potato. But I was unaware of that. However, once my knee burst, Keanu continued.
Keanu joked, “Comedy is hard, man.”
Stephen reiterated, “Aziz and Rogen were not in an action movie.”
No, Keanu said, “It was comedy.”
“Greetings from my life,” Stephen said.
In January of this year, Keanu was seen filming with an ice pack applied to his knee while using crutches.
Aziz Ansari makes his directorial debut with Good Fortune, in which he also stars. He collaborated with Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer as co-writer and co-producer of the film.
