You should seek medical attention right away if you see any of these heart attack warning signals. Some heart attacks are quite severe and occur suddenly. Most, though, start out slowly, with only a minor soreness or discomfort. Observe your physical well-being and call 911 if you have any of the following symptoms:

Achy feeling in the chest Most heart attack victims report having soreness in the center of their chest that either last for many minutes or sometimes goes away and then comes back. It might feel like a painful fusion of fullness, pressure, squeezing, or discomfort.

The soreness experienced in several additional upper body regions There are several probable places where pain or discomfort might occur, including the back, jaw, stomach, neck, and one or both arms.

Shallow, tense breathing This may occur in the presence or absence of chest pain.

Additional signs Some possible signs and symptoms are getting a cold sweat, feeling queasy, or dizziness.

The symptoms differ in men and women.

The most common sign of a heart attack in both men and women is chest pain, sometimes referred to as angina or discomfort. But some of the other common symptoms, such as breathlessness, nausea, and vomiting, along with jaw or back pain, are more common in women than in men.
